Dr. Navid Kimiaghalam is a senior water resources engineer and subject matter expert in hydrodynamics and water quality modeling. He is the technical area lead for coastal modeling in Canada.
Navid served as the lead coastal/water resources engineer and modeler, providing design and numerical modeling services, for the Port of Vancouver on the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 project, Fairview 2B Expansion in Prince Rupert, LNG Canada Kitimat project, and the Greenstone Gold Mine’s Hardrock Open Pit project.
He has published more than 10 scientific articles in national and international journals on hydraulics and sediment transport modeling. Navid also acts as a reviewer for several national and international journals. In 2019, he received the Award for Distinguished Contributions to Sediment Research from the International Journal of Sediment Research for his work on cohesive sediment transport.
Outside of the office, Navid enjoys woodworking and walking in nature.
