Starting his career as an architect, Bill transitioned into real estate development with a Canadian bank and smaller developers that took him on projects internationally and across Canada. He later became an independent project manager—that led to the creation of a project management company which was acquired by Stantec in 2010.
Approaching projects from a business perspective and the client’s business strategy, Bill brings an independent, objective perspective to owners as he offers insight and solutions to obstacles for both management and the project team. His facilitation skills and collaborative approach with the client’s internal project team, outside consultants, and external stakeholders brings focus to the team on successfully achieving the client’s goals. Bill is known for “bringing clarity from complexity”, as one client told him years ago.
Bill loves the water and began rowing competitively after his daughter took the sport up in high school. Today, he lives right on the water and spends his time free boating on the Great Lakes and playing tennis.
