Mike is a civil engineer with nearly 35 years of experience. His expertise is large-scale, master-planned communities which include residential, commercial, industrial, and public spaces. He’s also worked on large scale water and wastewater systems including the planning and design of these facilities for large communities. These projects are Mike’s passion. He enjoys the challenge of having to use every skill to look ahead and visualize the lasting effect of each decision on the community.
Recently, a client asked Mike, “if you’re not involved, why do I need Stantec?” To Mike, this was not simply a statement about his personal involvement on the project, it spoke to the way Stantec does business—by building meaningful, personal relationships with our clients to ultimately define our success.
Mike currently serves as chairman of our US Diversity and Inclusion Council. Through his daily interaction with staff and leadership across the country, he has the advantage of seeing the tremendous benefits that a diverse and inclusive work force brings to Stantec. “I see every day how diverse points of view lead to better solutions to issues we face: both internally and externally.” Mike firmly believes that our culture of diversity and inclusion helps us stand out in our industry.
