Clarence says that it’s important to pick a field where you enjoy the work—and you enjoy the people you’re working with. After over 20 years working in the civil engineering discipline, Clarence knows a lot about designing and constructing various municipal projects including roads, sewers, water mains, subdivisions, and drainage works. And he still enjoys it, and the people.
Recently, Clarence was involved in the reconstruction of one of Windsor’s busiest roads. Three lanes in either direction, one turning lane, medians, and all concrete, underground utility work had to be completed while maintaining traffic through the site and into businesses.
“I like the challenge we get on large projects. I also like the variety of work,” he says. One week he could be working on a major road project, the next he could be designing a water main.
Outside of work, Clarence enjoys volleyball, woodworking, fishing, fishing, and fishing—especially ice fishing.
