As a geotechnical engineer, Chris focuses on foundations that stand the test of time. Most of his projects involve analyzing the stability of existing dams and embankments or working on new or existing facilities to store coal combustion residuals (CCR), the byproduct of fossil fuel power generation.
Chris loves figuring out puzzles and solving problems, which translates to his passion for design work using Autocad Civil3D. He’s applied his 10+ years of experience to landfill and dam design, subsurface explorations, foundation design, geotechnical instrumentation, CCR facility evaluations and closure designs.
Chris recently played a key role in the permanent closure of three CCR units situated on approximately 500 acres where he provided design services and compliance assistance to close the facilities in accordance with state and national environmental regulations.
Away from work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing board games.
