As a senior environmental consultant, Lindy has over 30 years’ experience working both for and with electrical utilities on Clean Water Act permitting. This includes National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and stormwater permitting, as well as construction permitting including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and state water quality certifications. She has focused on gaining deep knowledge of the implementation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Steam Electric Effluent Limitations Guidelines.
In a leadership role, she has served as an advisor to the Electric Power Research Institute and co-chair of its Water Technology Program—and as vice-chair of the Effluent Limitations Guidelines Committee for the Utility Water Act Group. Lindy enjoys applying her knowledge to earn successful outcomes to complex permitting and compliance issues. An innovator, she developed a submittal for alternative effluent limitations that saved her client millions of dollars. On other projects, her negotiation skills with regulators avoided additional treatment requirements, while still protecting water quality.
Away from work she recharges with time spent in the woods, hiking, and horseback riding.
