As an accomplished environmental planner with a passion for the outdoors, Kaela takes pride in community development with the environment in mind. She goes above and beyond for her clients, creating effective problem-solving solutions for every project. Working with her team, she enjoys witnessing the progress of new housing and commercial developments.
One of Kaela's most rewarding projects was the 3575 Mendocino Avenue project, a high-density, multi-family development in the City of Santa Rosa. The project will provide a mix of affordable housing for seniors and market rate units on a 13-acre (5-hectare) site affected by California’s Tubbs Wildfire in 2017. She served as the deputy project manager and lead author to prepare the Sustainable Communities Environmental Assessment and Addendum. Her dedication and contributions to this project earned it the esteemed 2023 Environmental Analysis Document Merit Award from the California Association of Environmental Professionals.
Taking her love of nature into her spare moments, Kaela enjoys hiking and camping with friends and family, and checking out new restaurants on the weekends.
