With over 30 years of experience in environmental assessment, planning and integrated management of vast areas of land, Mario has built solid expertise in a number of activities, including data collection, information review and synthesis, development and supervision of opinion surveys and technical project description for submission to authorities. His expertise also extends to analyzing variables, identifying project design criteria and assessing their impacts on the environment, not to mention developing supervision and monitoring programs.
Over his career, he has worked on several hundred projects, most of which required government authorizations, including construction of provincial highways and forest roads, bridges, rail antennas, airports, power lines, substations and micro-hydroelectric facilities. He has also worked on numerous slope stabilization projects and port infrastructure construction and refurbishment projects.
As an environmental project director, he leads a team of professionals working in various fields: engineers, hydraulic experts, geomorphologists, oceanographers, biologists, geographers, urban planners, economists, hydrogeologists, surveyors, anthropologists, etc.
Recognized for his wide-ranging experience, Mario routinely acts as an expert for public consultations and hearings (BAPE and others).
