As the national technical area leader for freshwater ecology in Canada, Brad keeps fellow biologists informed of opportunities, technical advances, and the ever-changing regulatory landscape. He also provides mentorship to intermediate and junior staff.
Naturally drawn to water, Brad’s love for rivers, ponds, and oceans got him into fish biology—he’s felt committed to protecting these places ever since he was a child. Brad believes we can overcome the challenge of balancing resource development with environmental protection by working together as a team to design, build, and operate projects with the environment, Indigenous knowledge and rights, and our communities top of mind.
Brad enjoys spending his time hiking with his wife and dog in the mountains around Vancouver, riding his bike, keeping up with the lives of his adult children, and playing bad old timers hockey and golf.
