An environmental consultant for over 35 years, David’s primary focus has been on brownfields projects where redevelopment revitalizes and transforms underserved communities. He initially worked on brownfields for the City of Milwaukee—where he completed assessment and remedial planning work on over 100 properties between 1994 and 2006. Beginning in 2006, he’s concentrated on projects funded through the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Brownfield Grant Program, including both writing applications on behalf of clients (with more than 100 successful applications to date) and serving as the lead consultant for implementation of the resulting grant funded projects.
David’s worked on projects on behalf of more than 50 cities, including 12 of the 50 largest cities in the US, and for clients in all ten US EPA regions. Key clients include the City of Los Angeles, City of Fresno, City of Dallas, and City of Richmond.
Ever passionate about serving in his community, David volunteered his considerable grant procurement and consulting skills to help secure a US$976,400 grant for a Milwaukee daytime homeless sanctuary and community center. The funding helps thousands of residents in one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods in Wisconsin.
