Growing up in Las Vegas and working in the water industry there has given Loren a great appreciation for how important our work in water and wastewater is for the health and prosperity of our communities. As a water and wastewater engineer, she works with municipal clients across the US Southwest and Hawaii on treatment processes for water and wastewater plants. She also has experience with projects related to water distribution, sewer conveyance, and the modeling of biological secondary treatment processes.
A fierce advocate of investing in young minds, Loren set up a partnership between our Las Vegas office and local high schools to promote engineering in the classroom, afterschool activities, and via magnet advisory boards. She is also a mentor with the ACE Mentor Program of Southern Nevada and co-leads the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT) design competition for the Las Vegas Valley.
When she isn’t working on water and wastewater projects or mentoring the next generation of engineers, Loren enjoys traveling to new places or indulging her many hobbies—reading at least a book a month, knitting a sweater, gardening, and, recently, woodworking and cabinetry.
