Cari is the project assistant/administrator for our Native Plant Nursery but is pleased to have had the opportunity to wear two hats during her time there. Her main duties currently consist of invoicing clients, processing payments, record keeping, accounts receivable, and general account reporting. And she relished her past role working with the production crew in the greenhouses, working with plants and seeds, planting plugs, and watering.
Having attended college to learn ecological restoration, Cari has a valuable understanding of the role in nature and the characteristics of the plants we provide clients. With 12 years of prior experience working in greenhouses, she enjoys the hands-on nature of the work, and as she describes it—loves working in the dirt. Whether in her project assistant/administrator role, or helping in the greenhouse during the busy season, for Cari, her work provides a sense of personal stewardship in the much larger process of ecological restoration.
Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors exploring, kayaking, and geocaching with her kids. At home, she can be found drawing, working in her garden, or reading a good book.
