Ben is a geotechnical engineer experienced in geotechnical exploration, field crew management, and instrument installation for bridges, roadways, dams, and buildings. He has experience performing settlement, slope stability, negative skin friction, retaining wall and pile capacity analyses. In addition, he developed geotechnical reports for areas in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Oklahoma, giving him an understanding of several distinct geological areas. Ben has worked on the United States Army Corps of Engineers Bluestone Dam, Wolf Creek Dam, Center Hill Dam, Delaware Dam, Clearwater Dam, the Ohio River Bridges Interchange project in Louisville, Kentucky and numerous projects for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Ben believes that well thought out, timely, complete and well managed geotechnical explorations and sample management is the basis for any geotechnical analysis.
Outside the office, Ben enjoys cycling, hiking, camping and spending time with family.
