Raymond has 30 years of geotechnical engineering experience on projects in Eastern Canada, the Gulf of Mexico, Jamaica, Ukraine and Germany. The construction of Confederation Bridge to PEI exposed him to the magic of solid management practices and its application to projects of all sizes. In 2002, after providing senior engineering review for 35 oil production platforms, he returned to Ottawa with a passion for developing computational tools and quality practices.
With over 1000 assignments in Ontario and Quebec’s soft soils, tills, and poor quality rock, Raymond has enjoyed diverse challenges along the way. His projects have included pavements, bridges, rails, airports, linear installations, trenchless technology, towers, military facilities, and institutional and commercial buildings.
When a senior transportation client told him “I used to be the one teaching you, now you’re teaching me,” it was all the incentive he needed to make learning a lifelong ambition at work and at play.
