John is a licensed landscape architect and noted visual resource professional with over 25 years’ experience in the specialized discipline of visual impact assessment. Supporting developers throughout the country, he’s worked on power generation and transmission projects—including solar, wind, biomass, liquid natural gas (LNG), and natural gas-powered facilities, along with new and reconductored power lines.
Experienced in a variety of methodologies, John is accomplished at addressing state or municipal requirements. He helps clients navigate the requirements needed to assess how the project will be seen and how to address potential impacts of both small and large complex projects—skillfully completing assessments for NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) Section 106, and various state reviewing agencies in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, Vermont, and West Virginia. He’s also well-versed in completing assessments for New York's State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) Article 94-C, Article VII/X, and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s (NYS DEC) Visual Policy.
In his spare time, John enjoys traveling to tropical destinations with his family and exploring the local New York scenery while driving his classic 1965 Ford Mustang.
