With over 30 years of experience, Dermot works in the global water industry organizing and supporting our international teams to deliver worldwide water projects. Collaborating with clients and contractors, he identifies and delivers on mega-project opportunities—organizing bid teams to suit. He’s interested in relationship-based, collaborative teamwork across all disciplines that delivers best-for-project outcomes by establishing that projects meet time and budget expectations and that clients enjoy their experience.
Dermot believes that bringing the brightest and best people together bears positively on major water projects. An example is the Australia Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas (APLNG) Water Treatment Facilities project where he assembled a Brisbane-based team that was supported by teams in the United States, India, New Zealand, and UK. Teams worked together on large, advanced water treatment facilities and associated storages, delivered through either packaging the work out abroad or bringing people over to Australia. The Somerset Dam Improvement project is another example of his philosophy, where global support bolstered a different sector for a critical local project in Queensland.
