As community engagement director, Kate has spent over 15 years delivering engagement strategies from land acquisition through to construction. She works across both the public and private sectors, delivering large and small projects for a wide range of clients and industry sectors. By meeting with and listening to people, she becomes the voice on their behalf to deliver projects that benefit everyone.
Having previously worked for a private development company, Kate has a deep understanding of differing perspectives and pressures within the development process and is highly experienced working on proposals that are unpopular with communities and politicians. She currently leads her team on national projects across England including the Brentwood Borough Councils Strategic Housing Development Programme—delivering a suite of services to support the development and delivery of new, zero carbon affordable housing across the Borough. The team recently won Gold in the Community Focus category of the iESE Public Sector Transformation 2023 Awards.
When she’s not working, Kate enjoys walking her dog with friends—so long as there is a pub along the route. She also enjoys cycling and playing netball.
