Eleni is passionate about high slopes and deep tunnels and gets to work with them every day in her role as a senior principal engineering geologist. She’s the team leader for Structures, Pavement and Geotechnical in our Wellington office and the chair of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society.
Passionate about helping her clients, Eleni’s goal is to provide geotechnical advice and manage existing assets to design useful communities in a safe, resilient, and sustainable way. She provides technical input for complex and large-scale infrastructure projects in the transport, water and building sectors to ensure long-term protection against natural hazards. Eleni's proud that her work helps to maintain critical infrastructure of regional and national significance. This has included important advice during emergency response to earthquake and storm events, including the Cook Straight and Lake Grasmere earthquakes in 2013, the Kaikōura earthquake in 2016, and the Wellington storm in 2016.
Eleni loves the sea and is always looking for ways to be near it, whether swimming, on a boat, or watching it from a café.
