With over 20 years of experience in hydraulic structure design, hydraulic modeling, and hydrological analysis, Reza has a strong background in surface water management and flood handling. He has provided technical engineering support including rainfall-runoff modeling and reservoir flood routing, hydraulic structure investigation, and rating curve estimates for dam outlet structures. He has also conducted wind wave runup analysis, erosion analysis, and bank stabilization.
Reza has served as the lead hydrotechnical engineer for dam breach inundation studies, dam flood handling and reservoir improvement, and river diversion projects. Developing a cost-effective, site-specific design storm for the Fort McMurray region was a project highlight. With markets trending toward reducing carbon footprints and investing in green or renewable energy resources, he believes in the potential for developing more hydropower dams in Canada and around the world.
When he’s not working with water resources, Reza likes to spend time with his wife and young daughter, biking, hiking, and camping in beautiful parks across Canada. He also enjoys reading and learning new life skills.
