Jim specializes in municipal engineering and state permitting of linear infrastructure projects. His extensive civil engineering experience includes land development, water resources, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, watershed studies and hydraulic/hydrology studies. Using his team work ethic, Jim was a valuable part of the multi-office team that completed three stages of expansion at the Little Patuxent Water Plant in Maryland. The goal was to expand the plant and improve the quality of water treatment to minimize discharges in the sensitive Chesapeake Bay watershed.
His expertise in permitting caught the attention of our oil and gas sector, which put his skills to work in obtaining Pennsylvania Department of Protection permits for the construction of gas gathering lines in Western Pennsylvania associated with Marcellus Shale natural gas deposits. As Jim noted, “It was a great opportunity for me to use my experience in state permitting and learn about a different sector.”
