Brian has over 20 years of experience in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission. He has led or supported the planning, design, and execution of several HVDC projects globally.
Currently, Brian leads our team for the replacement of the Intermountain Power Project HVDC converter stations connecting Utah to California. Prior to joining us, Brian led a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the Bipole III HVDC Project in Canada, collaborating with future Stantec colleagues on the effort. He also provided operations and maintenance engineering support for two other HVDC systems.
When he isn’t busy working on HVDC projects, Brian spends his time fishing, golfing, and enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends.
