Doug has over 24 years of environmental assessment experience, which includes site assessment and remediation in Ontario and across Canada including remote regions of the Canadian Arctic. He also has significant experience regarding indoor air quality, sub-slab, and soil vapor quality assessments as well as human and ecological health risk assessment for both public and private clients for a variety of land uses.
As a senior risk assessor and Risk Assessment team lead for our offices in southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area, Doug has contributed to, and led many human/ecological health risk assessments for contaminated site projects in Ontario and across Canada. His risk assessment work has included residential and commercial/industrial brownfield redevelopment, insurance claims for regulatory approvals or due diligence, federal site classifications (for example, light stations, airports, and remote military installations), screening level assessments for due diligence in private property divestment/acquisition, and peer review on hundreds of risk assessment projects.
When he isn’t at work, Doug enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking, biking, and camping with his daughters. He plays soccer and spends time supporting his girls’ competitive cheerleading teams. He also loves backyard barbeques, live music, and travel.
