As a digital practice specialist, Matt’s job is to support the Buildings group with design technology and local project support in the Winnipeg office. With experience covering a range of disciplines in the structural engineering and architectural fields, he brings a well-developed skill set to our buildings engineering practice area.
Matt has extensive knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) technology and supports virtual design coordination (VDC) workflows throughout the Buildings group. He also develops and maintains corporate structural standards and conducts training across our offices around building information modeling (BIM). Matt has lectured on building information modeling practice at international conferences as well as being part of exhibit booths presenting on virtual reality and other types of digital technology. To top it off, he works on a wide range of projects, design modeling, coordination, conducting contract administration including visiting job sites.
Outside of work, when he’s not fiddling with his 3D printer building prototypes or building android apps using augmented reality, Matt likes to play video games, hockey, and golf.
