Since the beginning of his career, Jef has worked in the coal mining industry as a production planning, ventilation, and long-range planning engineer. He gained extensive planning experience by creating mine plans including weekly production, monthly, and life-of-mine plans.
Jef specializes in using Xeras and Deswik Suite software. As a senior long-range scheduling engineer, he’s used the Deswik Suite to create life-of-mine plans for the Goldstrike mine. Drawing on his experience, he currently works with clients to create site-specific strategic plans to meet their demanding targets. Along with his team, he develops bottom-up mine plans that incorporate all departments’ requirements to successfully execute these plans.
Providing safe working conditions for mine workers is a priority for Jef, and he strives to find ways to improve current processes that increase productivity while improving worker safety.
