Adam is a landscape designer known for his ability to thoughtfully develop tailored design ideas. He specializes in trail networks, playgrounds, parks, streetscapes, rooftop gardens, planting, and placemaking and tactical design.
An expert in native New England plant species, Adam is a firm believer that humans aren’t the only beings in nature that enjoy and rely on plants for life and longevity. He asserts there is a right plant for the right place for the right reason. Adam’s passion centers on creating outdoor spaces that put a smile on someone’s face. What sparks joy and wonder in a young child may differ from an adult, so it’s essential for his design solutions to explore various scales serving a range of ages, interests, and abilities.
An avid gardener, Adam tends to two gardens in Boston with his partner, using them as testing grounds for his planting design ideas. In addition to drawing and sketching for pleasure, he dabbles in film photography and is always on the lookout for new cities, neighborhoods, parks, and trails to explore.
