Growing up raising pigs and selling plants, Travis spent his childhood on an old dairy farm converted into a plant nursery. This experience gave him a deep appreciation for natural systems. At age 16, he started his own landscaping business where he developed a passion for design and construction.
Travis has worked on a wide range of projects close to home and around the world. He’s focused on designing the urban realm, from city parks, public plazas, and streetscapes to roof decks, multiuse trails, and campus-wide master plans. His favorite projects are at the intersection of repurposing and restoring marginalized sites, creating resilient, community-oriented spaces that foster a strong connection between people and nature.
Whether designing international or local, Travis takes into account the context and spirit of place to create meaningful and memorable landscapes.
