For more than 14 years, Carl has specialized in process design and engineering and process safety management. His expansive knowledge encompasses a wide range of process engineering and design solutions, and he’s worked with clients in both the public sector and private industry throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
A registered professional chemical engineer (in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Massachusetts) and certified process safety management professional (PSMP), Carl works mostly on process engineering for food/agriculture production facilities—with projects ranging in size from feasibility level studies to $160 million greenfield facility design. He also provides process safety management and risk management program consulting to dozens of facilities in a wide range of industries, primarily associated with ammonia refrigeration.
Carl now helps to manage the Stantec process/mechanical engineering team, including resource planning/staffing, mentoring of staff process engineers, and providing QA/QC on project deliverables. When he isn’t working in the industry, he’s probably trying out a new recipe on his Weber kettle grill for his wife and two daughters.
