An architect based in Fairbanks, Erik embraces the call to serve the interior Alaska community—whether it’s designing a school renovation, an office building, or a hangar on a military facility.
Erik is a firm believer that collaborating with clients and the project team results in affordable, design-driven solutions that add value to the facilities and the community. One example is Barnette Magnet School, which is an exploratory education facility for K-8 students. A multiphase project, Erik led the demolition of an outdated portion of the school, renovation of another section, and updating of the playground—all during COVID-19 and while school was in session.
Erik is an active member of the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce and the local American Institute of Architects (AIA) chapter. Away from the office, he embraces the Alaska ethos—playing hockey, camping, and playing and teaching guitar.
