Ian is an environmental scientist and biologist with our Environmental Services group. He applies his passion for conservation and wildlife and habitat management to conducting surveys and evaluations across Nevada and throughout the Western United States. He works with sensitive species and manages and operates baseline and other wildlife, vegetation, and habitat evaluation projects.
Ian has extensive experience researching sage-grouse and sagebrush ecosystems. He is extremely interested in and excited about Conservation Credit System (CCS) projects, which mitigate disturbance within sage-grouse habitat in Nevada. He has led many CCS projects, including some of the largest efforts in the system’s history.
In his free time, Ian hones his skills as an amateur gardener and woodworker, trying to get better at both.
