Aleece is a senior transportation engineer, focusing on various transportation projects including utility improvement projects and roadway and shared-use/path-trail projects. She prepares design plans, contract drawings, cost estimates, and environmental impact screening.
When asked what drives her in this field, Aleece notes being able to help communities explore different ways of designing facilities, giving people the opportunity to explore their community in a new way while still getting from one place to another.
Among her many projects, the Tri-Community Greenway, a six-mile bike and pedestrian path that spans three Massachusetts communities, highlights Aleece’s dedication and expertise. Though the extended design period of projects like this can sometimes be challenging, this project is both personally and professionally rewarding for Aleece. She’s been working on this project for over ten years, and it’s in her hometown. “It makes me excited and happy that I’ve contributed to my community in such a positive way.”
