Parker is a senior archaeologist involved in historical and cultural resource management projects across various sectors. He focuses on maintaining, recording, and highlighting Ontario’s diverse archaeological and cultural history as it intersects with development impacts.
Having been in the field for more than 20 years, Parker has worked with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to develop work plans which address regulatory needs and community concerns. As lead archaeologist for CN’s Milton Logistics Hub, he managed the archaeological program which involved the assessment, and monitoring of several Indigenous and 19th century archaeological sites. Throughout the project, he established and fostered relationships founded on mutual respect with affected Indigenous communities. He also served as a lead technical witness for the project’s Joint Review Panel (JRP) and provided expert testimony during the public hearing.
Outside of work, Parker is a golfer and is working towards earning a black belt in traditional Okinawan karate.
