Stuart is a traffic engineer who has a passion for innovative traffic system design and improving efficiencies in existing signal systems. His experience includes traffic studies and analysis, intersection improvement design, pedestrian/streetscape projects, and multi-use trails. With a focus on moving motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians in and out of locations more efficiently, Stuart takes pride in creating communities where people enjoy living, while also keeping them safe.
Recently, Stuart was drawn to the Clemson Long Range Framework project. Mostly because of the interesting data analysis required to examine opportunities for large-scale system improvements (it didn’t hurt that Clemson is his Alma Mater, too). The plan will be used to guide future development on the Clemson campus, making sure the university advances according to (and ahead of) industry standards.
As a 2018 graduate of Leadership Charleston, a professional development organization motivating emerging leaders in the Lowcountry, Stuart is looking forward to the impact he can bring to community development.
