As the leader of our Environmental Services group in Canada East, Tereza manages a team of talented scientists, engineers, analysts, technicians, and field staff to serve a wide variety of sectors. She’s a senior ecological risk assessor with extensive expertise in environmental toxicology, and her focus is on ecological risk assessments, phytoremediation, and biomonitoring.
Tereza has provided risk assessment and ecotoxicology expertise for the risk management process in support of several site closures. She’s also well-versed in delivering practical, achievable solutions by employing terrestrial toxicology methods that have been proven to reduce the conservatism associated with typical risk assessment assumptions. Plus, as an active member of our Creativity and Innovation Program, Tereza is focused on the development and commercialization of ideas.
An adjunct professor at the University of Guelph, Tereza advises students on the fundamental principles and best practices of environmental sciences. Tereza is also currently part of Canada’s National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, where she serves on the Scholarships and Fellowships Selection Committee for Evolution and Ecology. On the Committee, she reviews applications of Postdoctoral Fellowships and Postgraduate Scholarships at the Doctoral level. When she’s out of the office, you may find Tereza and her family biking the local trails in her neighborhood, hitting the slopes in Quebec, or cozying up with a good book.
