Andrew’s role takes him across Australia and New Zealand (NZ) to help our clients understand the impacts of flood risk, with climate change adaptation and resilience high on the agenda.
With over 25 years’ experience in modelling, forecasting, and managing flood risk, including international and strategic projects, he quickly identifies key processes and decision points.
Recent projects include major dams, highways, bridges, stormwater masterplans and resilience/adaptation against natural hazards and climate change. Andrew previously led flood risk work for a new nuclear power station in the UK, considering severe rainfall and coastal flooding.
Managing uncertainty keeps Andrew engaged and he enjoys working with clients and local and global teams to solve interesting and challenging multifaceted problems, no matter what the scale.
Having moved from Sussex in the UK, Andrew has settled in Wellington and loves exploring NZ’s capital city by windsurfing or going for walks with his kids.
