As a senior environmental engineer, Aysegul has 17 years of professional experience. Her work has focused mostly on preliminary and conceptual design, process design, construction, commissioning and operation of wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) and drinking water plants (DWPs). It also extends to water reuse, preparation of technical proposal, designing, feasibility analysis and cost estimation.
Aysegul has solid knowledge and experience in project approvals, Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA), Public Procurement Institution (KIK) contract procedures, regulation practices and conducting relations with clients such as ministries, municipalities. She wrote her master's thesis on electrocoagulation and she continues her doctorate studies on smart cities.
Aysegul believes that different societies around the world can live in peace with mutual respect and tolerance and enjoys meeting and communicating with different cultures. Outside of work, her passions include painting, travel and spending time with her family.
