Denis has over 16 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in various sectors from food and beverage to airport. He focuses on industrial and commercial HVAC systems, and he’s worked on plumbing, drainage, fire protection, steam, compressed air, and process piping design. He’s also completed energy effectiveness auditing of thermal and water energy systems.
The philosophy behind modern industrial HVAC design is threefold. Systems must be reliable, cost effective, and take advantage of the latest technological developments. Denis designs systems that have minimal single points of failure that could cause unplanned interruptions in production—a cost that’s usually much higher than repair. To achieve true cost effectiveness, all life cycle costs associated with building, operating, and maintaining the system need to be carefully considered. Lastly, the latest technology includes the latest equipment, materials, controls, and design development software.
All throughout the design of HVAC systems, Denis works toward a solution that serves his clients as best as possible. Outside of work, he stays active with biking, running, camping, and whatever his kids are interested in at the time.
