Lee provides valuable experience in both the public and private sectors to his role as a director of our Local Authority Sector. He has a strong all-round knowledge of the built environment, and whether a project is in the public or private sector, he works to create an ethos of teamwork among all the partners.
Lee began his career in local government where he gained an understanding of the policy and regulation making process. With a background in landscape and urban design and master planning, he then moved to various management positions leading his teams to service public sector frameworks, partnerships and contracts. Having played a role in projects including urban centres, transportation, housing, and education, Lee applies a passion for placemaking to his broad range of skills and experience to offer a uniquely informed response to the challenges and opportunities that local councils face today.
As an ex-professional sportsman (Rugby League), Lee is passionate about sports and continues to keep physically fit by exercising most days. Now a keen follower of all sports, particularly cricket, he sees many synergies between the team dynamic applied in both business and sport, what makes teams tick, and how they work together to achieve the best possible outcomes.
