Paul’s extensive background in asset management includes natural assets, buildings, civil structures, and roads, and informs his role as practice leader. Over the past twenty years, he’s developed his experience in risk management through the implementation of risk principals in all aspects of his work within asset management. He provides advice at operational, tactical, and strategic levels. And he’s developed a range of asset management artifacts that comprise strategic asset management plans, asset management policies, objectives, and asset management plans for a range of diverse organizations.
As a certified asset management assessor against ISO 55001—a certification process for asset management systems—Paul is experienced at undertaking condition assessments and developing capital and routine work programs. These programs are risk assessed to prioritize the works and improve the value of the programs. He also reviews current work practices to help clients assign risks appropriately within their maintenance contracts through the way works are scheduled—he believes having a detailed understanding of risk management is a critical input into asset management.
When not at work, Paul enjoys working on his farm located within the scenic Brisbane Valley.
