Patrick is experienced in highway design for major interchange projects and roadway improvements including preliminary and final roadway alignments, highway infrastructure systems, and construction documents. Typical assignments have included developing roadway plans, traffic control plans, and estimates as well as providing construction support. He is proficient with computer software, such as MicroStation/InRoads and AutoCAD Land Development, and is familiar with NJTA, NJDOT, and NYSDOT standards and procedures.
Among his many transportation projects, One Way Tolls on the Garden State Parkway stands out. Reconfiguring the toll plazas to allow for non-stop movement on one side and toll collection on the other was challenging, requiring creative thinking. Its success brought tremendous benefits not only to the traveling public by reducing congestion, but also to the adjacent communities by reducing emissions from standing vehicles.
