Austin brings nearly 15 years of experience working in the Chesapeake Bay Region conducting ecological resource assessments, preparing restoration design plans, and conducting permitting tasks for both public and private clients. He takes great pride in being able to have a meaningful and lasting impact on the environment and its ecology, sustainability, and resiliency.
In addition to his work experience, Austin brings with him formal training in stream restoration and possesses a master’s degree focused on water resources management and fluvial geomorphology. He is a lead technical expert and group manager responsible for numerous stream and wetland restoration designs with a range of project goals and site constraints. Austin is continually looking to advance the science and engineering behind ecosystem restoration to develop cost-effective restoration solutions.
In his spare time, Austin enjoys getting outdoors, traveling, backpacking, and exploring new cultures and landscapes.
