Bernard is a leader with over 30 years of experience in project management, consulting, and engineering design. His responsibilities focus on managing teams from project inception through closeout, including change management, quality control, supervision, and construction management.
Bernard’s technical expertise includes the planning, design, and design management of major ports and marine terminals and facilities for cargo such as liquified natural gas (LNG), hydrocarbons, bulk commodities, and transshipment facilities for grains, minerals, and non-ferrous metals.
His global understanding of multidisciplinary projects, in-depth knowledge of front-end engineering design, and ability to manage teams enables him to carry out complex projects on time and on budget. Some of Bernard’s more notable accomplishments include acting as design manager and technical site director for the largest LNG project in Australia. He has worked with such international agencies as CIDA, World Bank, ADB, and AusAID in China, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, and the US.
When he isn’t at work, you might find Bernard gardening, cooking lobster, skiing in the eastern townships, or fishing. During the summers while studying at university, he was a fishing guide in Northern Quebec.
