As a geotechnical engineer, Andrew has been involved in several challenging projects during his five years in the field. Known for applying his positive, collaborative mindset to all aspects of his work responsibilities, he has a wide range of experience that spans three continents.
Andrew’s work has included site investigation and characterization, excavation and shoring construction, third-party tailings facility reviews, waste pile design, geotechnical modeling and analysis, tailings dam closure design, and interpretation of geotechnical laboratory test data. He recently completed a combined site and laboratory investigation to evaluate the effect of high overburden stress on loose sandy deposits susceptible to static liquefaction and developed the conceptual closure design of an existing tailings structure while adhering to a tight deadline. As a result of Andrew’s efforts, the client successfully submitted the closure design to the local regulatory body for permitting.
Andrew’s extracurricular interests include playing soccer, baking, and biking.
