As an environmental scientist and hydrologist, Emma specializes in stream and wetland restoration projects. Her past experience includes operating heavy equipment with an ecological mindset to successfully execute functional designs.
Currently, Emma focuses on planning and implementing large-scale restoration projects around the upper Midwest by combining her scientific knowledge with environmental remediation and construction experience. She enjoys making designs come to life, whether it’s planting wetland vegetation or building toewood bends on eroding banks. Seeing wildlife inhabit projects post-restoration brings her great appreciation for the opportunity to do meaningful work.
Outside of work, Emma can still be found in and around water, racing sailboats and outrigger canoes and spending extended time canoeing above the Arctic Circle.
