The focus of Colleen’s professional experience has been on understanding the effects of human activities on wildlife and wildlife habitat, and the development of mitigation measures to minimize those effects. In the course of more than 25 years as a biologist, Colleen has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that have brought her into close contact with the rich diversity of species and ecosystems in British Columbia.
For the past 10 years, Colleen has been involved in the challenging realm of large project environmental assessments, mostly in British Columbia’s mining sector and in energy. Recently, she’s switched gears to the operational side of Stantec, and now leads a diverse and exciting team of environmental scientists on Vancouver Island.
When Colleen isn’t at the office, she enjoys living close to family, friends, the ocean, and the forest.
