As a geotechnical engineer, Mathieu is involved from the beginning to the end of geotechnical projects. In this role, he plans and carries out investigations, analyzes findings, and writes reports.
Mathieu enjoys working on different projects across Western Canada—from dams, mines, and oil and gas pipelines to transportation and industrial infrastructure—gaining unique experience and perspective. He has led the execution of large-scale geotechnical drilling programs consisting of more than 2,200 metres of rock coring and acted as the site supervisor and coordinator for large site investigations. Mathieu’s favorite part of the job is seeing the projects he’s worked on making a positive impact in communities.
Beyond enjoying the outdoor nature of his role, Mathieu spends his free time gardening, hiking, skiing, camping, playing hockey, and spending time with his dog.
