Jody has over 16 years of professional experience in architectural design firms across the world, including Hong Kong, London, New York, and Vancouver. With the benefits of a practice history that spans over several continents and cultures, she brings a unique, nuanced community empathy and understanding to all her work.
Within our Buildings group in British Columbia, the current focus of Jody’s work is on design of childcare facilities and community-based buildings across the province. Her collaborative approach is informed by an acquired, experienced cultural understanding that has equipped her well for what it means to realize safe, playful, and enriching 21st century childcare experiences. Currently, she’s involved in the development of the Early Childhood Education teaching facility and Childcare Centre for North Island College in Courtenay, and two childcare centers for the City of Vernon.
In her spare time, Jody shares a passion among podcasts, immersive tactile design, big trees and crashing waves, playing with her kids, design competitions, and daydreaming about her next travel journey.
