With a background in construction and design-build delivery, Kara is a healthcare project architect who strives to create environments that enhance personal experiences. Over her career she’s designed a variety of healthcare, science and technology, and commercial projects across the Pittsburgh region and the Eastern United States, ranging from 1,500 square feet (139 square metres) to 410,000 square feet (38,090 square metres).
Kara brings her passion for creative design, collaborative problem solving, and virtual architectural modeling to deliver creative, functional, and feasible architectural solutions. From inpatient to outpatient, Kara has designed various healthcare spaces ranging from patient care rooms, pharmacies, and infusion areas to operating rooms, interventional radiography, diagnostic imaging to women’s care, pediatrics, and more.
When she’s not designing, Kara enjoys spending time on her family’s hobby farm while sharing her passion of gardening, working on renovation projects, and hiking with her husband and three children.
