As a child, Chris was always fascinated with science, math, and the history of humanity. His interests led him to the scholastic pursuit of civil engineering—they play an essential role in designing and building cities that work efficiently and safely and harmonize human accomplishments with the natural environment. His passions continued to guide him to specialize in transportation engineering.
There’s an excitement in the work Chris does as a transportation engineer. His projects touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of people every day, connecting them with work, family, and friends. Dedicating a holistic approach to every project, he finds mobility and safety solutions for all transportation modes and all types of roadways, whether it’s a neighborhood street, expressway interchange, sidewalk, or bicycle lane. His most thrilling accomplishment was helping to plan bicycle and pedestrian improvements in the Health District area in Miami-Dade County. He finds it exciting to see all of the improvements that he helped recommend.
Even though he lives in South Florida, Chris enjoys escaping the urban life to connect with nature during his spare time—kayaking, bike riding, and the occasional hiking trip to the Florida Keys or Everglades (only during winter). His ultimate pastime is exploring National Parks all over the United States.
