Adam is an experienced geologist who applies his underground knowledge to the design and construction of Stantec’s tunnel and large diameter cavern projects. He’s been delivering geological expertise in support of projects large and small across the United States.
Since joining Stantec, Adam’s been an integral member of the team responsible for the award-winning Atlanta Water Supply Tunnel project—with five miles of 12.5-foot-bore-diameter tunnel with 11 different shafts in hard, abrasive Gneiss bedrock and approximately 3,000 feet of drill and blast connecting tunnels. An active member of the Georgia professional geologist community, Adam guides the industry in the development of appropriate new rules and standards through his roles with American Society of Testing and Minerals (ASTM) subcommittees and the Association of State Boards of Geology.
When he emerges from beneath the earth, Adam takes his family and heads into the woods where they hike, camp, and cook over fires—exploring new places without internet and cell service.
