With more than 40 years in the engineering industry, Don has directed numerous projects involving planning, design, construction oversight, and program management utilizing conventional and advanced wastewater treatment technologies. His experience has included everything from facility and master plans and project reports to pilot testing, environmental assessments, and alternatives analysis. He has managed designs of wastewater treatment, solids management, and reuse systems with values more than $1 billion.
Don has been involved with several water recycling projects involving potable reuse. These include Pure Water Los Angeles, Pure Water Southern California, City of Santa Monica OneWater, and Pure Water Antelope Valley.
Passionate about progress in the treatment and reuse industry, Don has published nearly 30 papers on various treatment processes and applications. He’s also active in the Water Environment Federation and American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
